About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Parklands night ride summary – Wednesday 18/01/2017

Hey there ‘rangers!

So this week’s night ride was more of a dusk/sunset ride due to the sun going down a lot later at the moment. We didn’t need to put our lights on until half way through the ride at the bottom of Cancer Tree.

The weather had cooled off enough to not be soul-suckingly disgusting but the humidity was still up there.

Highlights of the ride were:

  • Will’s new sexy steed
  • Andrew showing off his guns
  • Me barely making it up that cursed bloody climb after Cancer Tree
  • Getting Mexican food afterwards

No one stacked it, no one got lost and everyone had a good ride so that’s a win in my books.
