About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Glasshouse Mountains

Bushrangers MTB Club / Trails / Glasshouse Mountains

Roam the access roads throughout the pine forest nested among the famous Glasshouse Mountains. There’s a number of lookouts in the area to checkout and many route options which can make it easier to get lost to be sure to take a map and food/water.

The area can become very muddy during rain and the mud sticks to everything making for an uncomfortable ride.

There are many 4WD and motorbike specific trails that are usually comprised of deep ruts, mud holes and exposed rock faces and very steep ascents/descents that require a motorised vehicle to handle. They’re not particularly fun and in the interest of safety are best avoided.

We suggest you take the local council’s suggested route, see further information below.
