About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Event Details

Come challenge yourself with the Brandenburg climb in the cool of winter.  7.15am for 7.30am ride off.

It is a 50km loop with 1300m climbing.

We will start at Ewan Maddock day use area staring with the infamous Brandenburg Road climb up to Maleny to take in the spectacular views of Glasshouse Mountains then down McCarthey’s shute and beyond.

A mix of bitumen, gravel and single track.

It is a Grade 5 ride allowing 4 hours for the faster group and 5 hours for a slower group.

All riders must have insurance cover. You can sign up for a free 4 week trial membership with Auscycling if you don’t already have insurance.

Any last minute changes due to weather or unexpected events will be posted on Facebook.
