About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Sugarbag Trails MoU Signing

Sugarbag Trails MoU Signing

Starting out as a few tracks snaking throughout a forest nestled between Sugar Bag Road and the Caloundra industrial estate the Sugarbag trail network has steadily grown into what it is today – 12km of tight single track littered with technical features.

As the trail network has recently been sanctioned by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the council and the Caloundra Off-Road Cycling Association (CORCA) for the ongoing maintenance and development of these trails has been drafted and will be officially signed on Saturday 6th August at the old council storage yard off Sugar Bag Road, the event will start 8am and will run until 1pm, with the signing at 8:30am. Morning tea, lunch, and drinks will be provided. Take your favourite trail care tool if you would like to lend a hand maintaining the trails.

I would like to congratulate CORCA and Kurt Martin (Sunshine Coast Regional Council) for their hard work securing the MoU and the future of the Sugarbag trail network.
