Moreton Bay Hinterland CycleFest – MTB Event
Next month we’ll be helping out the Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) with their Hinterland CycleFest event by leading two mountain bike rides starting from the township of Wamuran. A short, easy, route will take us along the old railway route north of Wamuran and back totalling around 25km and not a lot of climbing. An alternative, longer, route will take us further into the Beerburrum State Forestry area and will have a bit of everything and will be around 45km (this route is to be confirmed).
The rides will start at 8am, Saturday the 17th of September and will start/end at Nasho’s Park, Atwood Street, Warmuran QLD. We’ll be back in time for a free BBQ lunch provided by the MBRC. The club calendar will be updated with the details next week.
Special thanks goes to Brad, Sonja and Terry for helping with the organisation, route selection and offering to lead the rides. Really appreciated guys especially when it was a last minute request as the council needed to get the advertising out in time.
