About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Moreton Bay Hinterland Cyclefest – MTB Rides

Coming up this Saturday is a mountain bike ride hosted by us for the Moreton Bay Regional Council as part of their Hinterland Cyclefest event. Starting from Wamuran (Google Maps Link) and riding along the old rail trail for a while before splitting into two groups – people looking for a longer ride can continue on into the Beerburrum Forests and the people after a easier and shorter ride can head back to the starting point.

These rides are open to the public just like our community rides so expect to see some new faces and please help out where possible.

There’s a BBQ planned for lunchtime so if riding somewhere new isn’t enough to get you out of bed on a Saturday morning then perhaps a free snag on a bit of white bread will lure you down.
