About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Well in this case it mattered not that it was cold, overcast, raining on the coast, mid-winter with low light and some drizzle. The Genie was in the bottle and was about to be released as the decent down “Bottle and Glass” downhill track was the icing on the cake and the lure of the ride ahead. 15 trail hardened riders assembled at the Yandina BMX track determined to make the most out of the gloomy day, and they did.. Splitting in two groups with the traditional ride being started by 7 wayward  Bushrangers with a warm up pedal along Browns creek road before facing the demon in the bottle (and Glass) fire road with a climb of 4.8km and 333m elevation, recently graded and hard packed...
