About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

The sleepy town of Pomona was the departure point for yet another Bushranger adventure. Both groups headed west of town to the base of MT Cooroora, home of “King of the Mountain” running race, before rolling along open fire tracks, windy single tracks up some rugged rocky ridges… spreading the mob a little but always regrouping to count the sheep. Non lost to the wilderness arriving in peaceful Cooran. The group split to cater for shorter loop riders following a scenic but challenging route to the “Fen shui“ Bamboo patch before returning back to Pomona.. mystical designer photo attached of the Ashram in progress….great riding covering 28 km and 650m climbing. The less sane “Hill tribe Gurus” headed North to the base of Mothar mt. Woondum NP, nice  scenic rock pools with picnic area.  Shady tracks and cool conditions made the 5km mega climb...
