Peachester Ride report Dec 2021
Peachester Ride report
So much to explore in this area of the glasshouse mountains . 20 Bushrangers warmed up riding the weathered track from old Peachester road to the town above. Once the deep breathing had subsided the crew headed south to the single tracks. Creeks just trickling required some front wheel elevation to avoid a grit bath and that sinking feeling. Slightly damp sandy tracks were at their best.
Fire roads turned to canyons of doom requiring some heavy lifting over large logs and skirting around some serious ruts. Rough and tumble from the overzealous down hill with Harper engaging with mother earth only to bounce back. Dean taking a chance on a big eroded drop to live another day.
Simon from Fiji had missed the Australian soil so much he hugged the ground on at least 7 occasions also causing justification for a new bike !!. Yes..we won’t tell the wife. Louise soldiered on with one leg after an altercation with a wicked hill ascent, John was sending mixed messages with his lusty elevation Xmas mankini top ???. Nicee
Mid ride gave the option for brave hearts to tackle the soft powder of the big down hill before joining back up the with clan. Zig and zagging back along some brilliant forest scenery the billionaires don’t have this much Sunday fun. Bloody great riding from everyone…
Swamping the Peachester café along with the Kombi club, Motor bikers and travellers, amazing service with old world charm settled the nerves for the downhill run of hand-crafted tracks back to the start point. Sensational.
Thanks to riders from other clubs and new members we really enjoyed having you along for the ride, hope to see you again.
