About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Glasshouse ride report 30.1.2022

This is where things get interesting attempting to ride up rollie rocks the soles hit the ground turning Mountain bikes into push bikes suddenly. “Banana break” rest at the saddle and flora photography ensued.  The southern descent was an absolute cracker for the rock and tech warriors,...

Sunday Creek Ride report 2.1.2022

Ride Report Wet weather alternatives: January is fraught with mixed weather so Wet Wooroi was left to drain with 2 alternatives on offer from Bush to Beach. Option 1:    9 extremists met up on Sunday creek rd west of Kenilworth for a Cross country high altitude forest ride, Nervous not having an official previous measure of distance and climbing the crew headed through the amazing forests of the western  Conondale rangers before turning down Stanton’s fire rd, faced with some very low traction red clay made some of the pro riders  sweat but it was short lived as they bombed down a very long descent into summer mt road. Entering the open cattle country of the Yeilo rd , sun shining and  strong breeze dried the mud freckles as they rode up the windy gravel range back toward Sunday creek rd, not far from Jimna. Stopping at the education camp for a snack, photo shoot and trail lies. Back on the rd...
