Tourism Noosa, Noosa District & Landcare, Noosa Council’s Economic Development department and Common Ground Trails are working on a Noosa Trail Masterplan, funded by the Noosa Biosphere Reserve, to enhance the Noosa Trail Network experience for local and visiting bushwalkers, mountain bikers, horse riders and other users.
Common Ground Trails have created a survey that you can find HERE.
We encourage everyone to fill out the survey and to highlight any areas that need attention on the map.
A celebration of the fantastic women around us who are doing extraordinary things
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour features some of the world’s most inspiring women in adventure. This tour is a celebration of the fantastic women around us who are doing extraordinary things. The films are to be enjoyed by women and men of all ages!
In a global first it was launched to a sell-out crowd in Sydney in May 2017. We are pleased to be now taking the Women’s Adventure Film Tour around Australia. This is an extraordinary chance to come and experience a night of edge of your seat outdoor adventuring and story telling.
The film selection comes from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado. Mountainfilm uses the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Launched in 1979, Mountainfilm is now one of the world’s most exciting documentary film festivals touring 5 continents and seen by more than 70,000 people.
The tour films feature an awesome mix of short films featuring skiing, mountain biking, trail running, mountaineering, rock climbing and cultural and environmental stories. This is an event to inspire you to take on the world and experience all it has to offer.
The intention was to ride the northern areas around Ringtail Creek however given Marty’s recce the day before the routes were still pretty boggy we decided to head to Wooroi instead. However to keep things at least a little different to the usual Wooroi ride the 17 of us continued on through Tewantin National park (north) and did the ‘sunken gardens’ single track that runs parallel with MacKinnon Drv before grinding up Old Tewantin Road and heading down towards Cooroy Noosa Rd. Here we took a sneaky route onto Coveys Rd that took us to the top track of Wooroi at Sunrise Rd.
Wooroi was perfect riding with nay a muddy spot however we avoided the known wet areas and stuck to Milkmaid and Turn 10. Once done with the single track it was a easy cruise back to Tewantin and then off to Cafe Doonan for coffee.
Thanks the ride guys and we hope your finger heals up quick Simon!
