About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Sunshine Coast Bike Week – Sep 24th to Oct 2nd

Hi Folks,CycleFest Logo

The Sunshine Coast Bike Week is coming up in a few months and like last year we’re putting up our Mapleton Community Ride on the 2nd of October as an event. The Sunshine Coast Regional Council will kindly promote our ride along with many other cycling related activities that will be happening during those 9 days..

The Sunshine Coast CycleFest will be the premier event on the 24/25th September which will present a number of races and rides (on road) and the CycleVillage Markets at Cotton Tree park.

What is Bike Week?

The major aim of the week is to simply encourage people of all ages and cycling abilities to get out on their bikes and to learn more about cycling. We hope to achieve this by not only involving people in planned council activities, but in events offered by other cycling related businesses and groups as well.

Hope to see you out there.
